Adorable World-Champion miniature horses will be available for photo ops dressed up in colorful hats and tiaras at the upcoming 2018 Rocky Mountain Horse Expo from March 9-11, 2018 at the National Western Complex in Denver.

The celebrity minis – of Prestige Petites in Fort Collins – will be available at the ‘ Media Center’ to take photographs with attendees in return for any donation towards the Harmony Equine Center division of Dumb Friends League.

“Last year was the first time we promoted these famous minis for photo opportunities wearing hats to raise money for charity. Families and children really enjoyed taking photographs with them and the fundraiser was a great success,” said Bill Scebbi, Executive Director of the Colorado Horse Council, which puts on the annual Rocky Mountain Horse Expo.

Although these minis are famous in the horse show world, their owner, Erin Petrilli, keeps them busy when they are not showing by having them moonlight as therapy horses. Whenever her schedule permits, she takes her celebrity minis to work as therapy horses at senior citizen homes so the elderly can enjoy time with the horses.

“It is beautiful so see how appreciative senior citizens are when we bring the minis to spend time with them. Many of them grew up with horses and spending time with minis takes them back to the same emotions and feelings they had when they were children,” said Erin Petrilli, owner of Prestige Petites.

“I have been taking them to events and allowing them to get ‘loved on’ by people the entire time I have owned them.”
